  A wonderful old squash of collector quality. The silversmith, Roger Skeet, Sr. was one of the great masters working in the 1930's and 1940's. He is best known for his concha belts and a different piece such as this is particularly valuable. The squash came from an old-time trader with whom Skeet worked and who has authenticated it as well as the date of manufacture, 1947.
